His mother used to be a model; from her, Robert Thomas Pattinson inherited his good looks and a passion for acting. Pattinson was born in May 1986 in London, and his father is a car salesman. But it was his mother who encouraged him to become an actor and helped him land his first big role at age 15—when he became the good-looking Cedric Diggory in one of the famous Harry Potter films. That’s where the director of Twilight saw him a couple of years later. Not convinced that Pattinson could bring vampire Edward Cullen to life, she made him travel from London to Los Angeles for a screen test. The test was a love scene with the one who would become his co-star in the saga and also the young lady who stole his heart: Kristen Stewart. • Read More…
One of the most talked about and most popular films of 2009, The Twilight Saga: New Moon, will be released on a two-disc special edition DVD and Blu-ray on March 20th. The special Saturday release date will allow for fans across the nation to celebrate at midnight release parties at various retailers.
To celebrate and promote the upcoming DVD release, director Chris Weitz took a few minutes to talk to IESB about his experience making the second film in the Twilight Saga, reflect on working with the film’s stars, Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner, and his plans for the future.
IESB: In doing the commentary for the New Moon DVD, was there anything that you realized you regretted having to cut, or did the final cut of the film meet all of your expectations? • Read More…
Robert’s Bel Ami co star, Kristin Thomas mentions Robert during an interview.
Her co-stars include Uma Thurman, Christina Ricci and Robert Pattinson, but Scott Thomas said she had seen no evidence of the “Twilight”-induced hysteria that Pattinson routinely unleashes. “I keep hearing he’s fantastically megafamous, but you wouldn’t know it. He doesn’t have hundreds of people trailing him,” she said.

Between Twilight films, gorgeous, hot actor Robert Pattinson tries to take on other roles that challenge him. No matter what the story is, he likes to play “intense” characters!
Now, in New York, Rob is telling us that his character Tyler, in the new romantic drama Remember Me, a volatile NYU student trying to cope with a family loss and reaching out to the daughter of the man responsible reflected his own need to grow up and mature. He admits he was “a bit of an idiot” when younger and his “actorly” swagger tended to make people want to beat him up! • Read More…
I’ve added a new video interview of Robert Pattinson on ‘Australian The Today Show’. Where he talks about movie, ‘Remember Me’.
I’ve added new behind the scenes & interview clips of Robert Pattinson on the set of ‘Remember Me’. These are provided by Collider.com
Summit Entertainment has provided us with a Robert Pattinson on set interview and a ton of behind the scenes footage from Remember Me. While I generally don’t post studio provided interviews, I know how popular Robert Pattinson is, and the 9 minute interview isn’t online yet.
And regarding the behind the scenes footage…when a movie is filming, the studio will document the process and release what’s called B-Roll. This is generally footage of the cast and crew working on location, or footage of the cast filming a scene. If you’re curious what being on a movie set is really like, you’ll enjoy the footage. Remember Me stars Robert Pattinson, Emilie de Ravin, Pierce Brosnan, and Chris Cooper. Allen Coulter directed the film and William Fetters wrote the script. Hit the jump to check out the footage and interview:
Here’s the synopsis:
In the romantic drama Remember Me, Robert Pattinson plays Tyler, a rebellious young man in New York City who has had a strained relationship with his father (Pierce Brosnan) ever since tragedy separated their family. Tyler didn’t think anyone could possibly understand what he was going through, until the day he met Ally (Emilie de Ravin) through an unusual twist of fate. Love was the last thing on his mind, but as her spirit unexpectedly heals and inspires him, he begins to fall for her. Through their love, he begins to find happiness and meaning in his life. Soon, hidden secrets are revealed and tragedy lingers in the air, as the circumstances that brought them together threaten to tear them apart.
Robert Pattinson probably didn’t want to spend his Saturday at a press junket any more than the journalists who greeted him there, but we’re all professionals here. Especially Pattinson, whose new film Remember Me features the young megastar in a searching departure from his Twilight turn as Edward Cullen. There’s still the young torment, the dilemma of first love (with a fellow NYU student played by Emilie De Ravin) and, well, that awe-inspiring hair. But in determining what makes his character Tyler Hawkins tick, there’s also a somewhat shocking awareness of mortality beneath all that gorgeous sulking. Between his aloof father (Pierce Brosnan), his compassionate mother (Lena Olin), his confidante little sister (Ruby Jerins) and the ghost of his dead older brother, Tyler is always just on the verge of some discovery — and despite what Pattinson’s fans may crave, it’s not quite catharsis.
I’d love to be more specific, and I will be as Remember Me’s review embargo drops prior to its March 12 opening. Until then, Pattinson helped Movieline make at least a little sense of it all at last week’s press gathering in New York:
Speaking about your role in this film, your co-star Pierce Brosnan said, “[h]e’s courageous to find a piece like this, knowing that he has the Twilight franchise breathing down his throat, and you know it will be up to him to go out there and seek these films between these mega-movies he’s about to do.” How do you respond to that? • Read More…
I’ve added new interview video of Emilie De Ravin and Robert Pattinson being interviewed by MTV for their ‘Remember Me’ Press Junket.
Some ask him to bite them and others hate him. In reality, Robert Pattinson is neither a hot vampire, or a jerk, he is rather an incredibly humble 23-year-old who is one of the world’s hottest actors, right now. And we got to meet him.
When you tell people that you’ve met Robert Pattinson, you get different reactions. Most of the 40-years old people, look at you with a questioning facial expression. But teenage girls (and those who have past their teens) screaming hysterically and often wonder if Rob is just as good in reality as he is on film. • Read More…
Emilie de Ravin talks about Robert Pattinson on the ‘Remember Me’ Facebook exclusive interview.
What was it like to work with co-star Robert Pattinson? Did you spend time getting to know each other before filming or during to create chemistry? – Lauren Spratt
We had a really great time working together. Instead of just doing a scene and reading your lines, it felt like I was just reacting to him and the situation which made it feel very natural and un-forced. Probably the case because not only did we get along really well- we made a point of being on the same page as each other to do with our characters’ relationship. Not reading over and over scenes, but more talking about them and our characters and finding moments one or both of us hadn’t noticed before. I think really getting to know someone helps a lot with having believable chemistry on-screen.Other than the Ally/Tyler relationship, which do you think is the best relationship in the film and why?

Ruby and Rob who play Caroline and Tyler-They had such a great chemistry together. Even though there’s a big age difference between the characters they have such an adult relationship. Tyler could not be more caring and protective of Caroline and goes to great lengths to try and make her father understand and be there for her.
Australian actress Emilie de Ravin has moved from the small screen to the big screen in the upcoming romantic drama Remember Me (out March 12).
De Ravin recently spoke to Tribute’s Toni-Marie Ippolito to discuss filming Remember Me, how hard it was to concentrate with the paparazzi on set, what Robert Pattinson is really like to work with and, of course, her feelings on the final season of the hit series Lost, which made her a household name.
PURSUED by screaming fans wherever he goes, Twilight star Robert Pattinson admits he gets his freedom watching Braveheart.
Thee 23-year-old hearthrob, nicknamed RPattz, says although he hasn’t been able to get to a cinema for two years, he can’t get enough of the Mel Gibson Oscar-winning film about Scotland’s greatest patriot William Wallace.
He admitted: “I saw Braveheart on the television the other day and I’ve been watching it four times a day since. It’s my favourite film. I haven’t been to the cinema in two years.”
Since he started playing smouldering vampire Edward Cullen two years ago, the London actor has become one of the world’s biggest and most lusted after stars.
Last year, while filming new movie Remember Me, he was hit by a taxi while running away from fans and he’s a pin-up from America to Japan. • Read More…
I’ve updated the 3rd part of the Facebook ‘Remember Me’ video interview for ‘Ask Robert’ about Judy Jerins.
During a live chat with Peter Facinelli last night he answered a few fan questions about Rob and Edward.
Hi Peter, Hope you are well! Q: If you could be any character other than your own in the saga, who would that be and why? Thank You for all the time you give to us fans on twitter! xx
Peter Facinelli: Edward, for a bunch of reasons, if I were younger would be a great character to play. If I couldn’t play Edward I’m quite happy playing the dad. I don’t think the apple falls far from the tree.
Team Taylor or Team Robert?
Peter Facinelli: haha – I gotta go Team Robert. he’s my family. I love Taylor, but Rob plays my son so I got to keep it in the family.
But as far as the real actors in the film — I think they’re both immensely talented and I support both of them.

LA Confidential has a new interview up with Uma Thurman who’ll be one of Robert Pattinson’s co-stars in his much-anticipated up-coming movie Bel Ami.
LAC: What’s special about your upcoming film Bel Ami besides Robert Pattinson, who is so big right now, being your costar?
UT: He is a big star right now. I’m excited because the film is a classical, technical piece of work, and it’s beautiful. It’s a bit of bedroom drama. It’s a romance between Rob and a number of Parisian housewives.
LAC: And you’re one of the love interests? • Read More…
MTV: You’re returning to a TV show everyone is obsessed with, you’re co-starring opposite one of the biggest actors on the planet — does 2010 feel like it’s going to be a really big year for you?
Emilie de Ravin: Yeah, I’m insanely excited. The show’s been fantastic, and I had season five off, so I had the opportunity to do some other projects, including “Remember Me.” Being surrounded by all these talented groups of people inspires you so much. And with the show ending, it’s bittersweet — sad, but fantastic they’re ending on a high note. You don’t want to be the last ones left at the party!
MTV: So how did “Remember Me” come your way? Did you have to read with Rob?
De Ravin: They’d been looking to cast my role for a while, looking at a lot of different girls. I read the script three weeks before they started shooting. • Read More…
Irish star Saoirse Ronan of The Lovely Bones fame recently in an interview talked about Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart.
Speaking of Twilight, I heard that Robert Pattinson snuck into the Lovely Bones premiere.
SR: Yeah, I heard that when I was at the after-party. I didn’t see him, though.
You figure he’d at least have the courtesy to say hello.
SR: [Laughs] Actually, someone said that to me: • Read More…
Below is the little article whereby ‘Vampires Diaries’ casts talks about Robert Pattinson.
Asked if they’ve ever experienced the same sort of craziness as fellow vamp Robert Pattinson, Ian admits, “People ask me to bite them a lot.” Paul, too. “A girl asked me to bite her as well, in a bar,” he tells us. Eek! However, none of them are at the stage where they can’t leave the house. • Read More…
Kellan Lutz has did a attribute success for both Robert Pattinson & Kristen Stewart in ‘Twilight’ franchise, during his new interview with Zap 2 it.
On attributing “Twilight” franchise success to Rob Pattinson and Kristen Stewart
“The rest of us, we could suck probably,” Kellan says. “It’s Rob and Kristen who have the amazing chemistry. Without those two keystones, “Twilight” could have flopped. It really could have.”

Q: What has this past year been like for you? How are you dealing with things? Are you more comfortable with everything now?
Rob: I guess it’s inevitable that you become more comfortable. You still fight against some things. There’s nothing really scary about the franchise itself. I like all the people I work with. I generally have very few disagreements about the script or anything while we’re doing it, especially on New Moon. It just seemed so relaxed and easy. I’ve been on three different sets, since January 14th. I’ve had like three days off. I’m going to be on set all next year as well. I don’t know what doing errands and things is really like ’cause I haven’t had a sustained period of time where I’ve been off. I don’t know how it’s really changed. I still feel like I’m pretty much exactly the same, which is maybe not a good thing • Read More…
