Being such a big fan it’s surprising Matt hasn’t met Robert Pattinson, who plays vampire Edward, alongside Kristen Stewart as Bella in the franchise.

He said:

I haven’t met him yet, but we have a meeting scheduled. I am looking forward to it already. It’s so nice that Robert and I both come from England. We will understand each other and have common ground.

Let’s face it, every year there’s only a handful of movies that everyone who dares call himself a fanboy is dying to see. 2010 is no exception, with titles like “Iron Man 2?, “Prince of Persia”, and “Jonah Hex” on the slate, to name just three. Here is our extremely early preview of the 10 movies you should be keeping an eye on and we’ll be following very closely ahead of their Summer 2010 launch. Some are more fanboyish than others, but they’re all definitely intriguing.

The Twilight Saga: Eclipse (June 30)
The “Twilight” franchise? No interest whatsoever. David Slade directing another vampire movie? Oh hell yeah. As if Summit Entertainment’s “Twilight” franchise needed new injections of blood into its already impressive fanbase, the third part in the series, “Eclipse” got it

Robert Pattinson may have composed a couple of tunes for the “Twilight” soundtrack, but he says that he’s scared of releasing music. He doesn’t want to rule out the possibility of a career in music, but will only start singing pro, if his acting gigs dry up.

He said, “I do do a bit of singing but I don’t really release it. I’m too scared. Maybe one day. I think you can only concentrate on one or the other. Once I’m ready to do it, I’ll do it again, I’ll perform again.”

In The Twilight Saga: New Moon, the second chapter in Stephenie Meyer’s phenomenally successful series, the romance between mortal and vampire reaches an intense and dangerous new level, and reveals a conflict that will haunt Bella Swan (Kristen Stewart) as the story continues. Delving into the age-old rivalry between the Quileute tribe and the vampires, which comes to a head with her best friend, Jacob Black (Taylor Lautner), and her love, Edward Cullen (Robert Pattinson), Bella quickly learns that the supernatural world that she longs to become a part of will put her at more peril than ever before.

As the reluctant vampire who has millions of females swooning all over the world, Robert Pattinson has been working non-stop since signing on for the first Twilight film. Having just wrapped filming on The Twilight Saga: Eclipse, the actor also hopes to make Bel Ami and Unbound Captives, before returning for the final chapter, Breaking Dawn, tentatively set to film in the Fall of 2010.

At the film’s press day, Robert Pattinson talking about getting used to life with the world watching your every move.

Q: What has this past year been like for you? How are you dealing with things? Are you more comfortable with everything now?
Rob: I guess it’s inevitable that you become more comfortable. You still fight against some things. There’s nothing really scary about the franchise itself. I like all the people I work with. I generally have very few disagreements about the script or anything while we’re doing it, especially on New Moon. It just seemed so relaxed and easy. I’ve been on three different sets, since January 14th. I’ve had like three days off. I’m going to be on set all next year as well. I don’t know what doing errands and things is really like ’cause I haven’t had a sustained period of time where I’ve been off. I don’t know how it’s really changed. I still feel like I’m pretty much exactly the same, which is maybe not a good thing.

Yesterday we talked about the Highest Paid Actors in Hollywood who enjoy the finer things in life like lavish trips to San Tropez, endless shopping at Barney’s, and world-class fine dining. We mentioned Harrison Ford, Will Smith, Christian Bale, and Shia LaBeouf but we did not mention Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart. In 2008, the newbies did not break the bank in Twilight even though the movie made over $191 million. But good things came to them when they signed on to The Twilight Saga: New Moon, and by good things we mean loads and loads of mulla. Can you guess what Rob and Kristen made for New Moon? For young actors, their $2 million Twilight paycheck was very appropriate.

bout two weeks ago, late night television host Jimmy Fallon decided to take on the task of impersonating none other than The Twilight Saga: New Moon, The Twilight Saga: Eclipse, and Remember Me star Robert Pattinson.

With a quite hilarious reception, it seems that Fallon has decided to give it another go.

In this new video, Fallon presents Robert Pattinson in a tree again, but this time he puts a spin on it. Somehow, Fallon came up with the angle to play Pattinson as angered by the existence of “Shark Week,” stating that sharks are imitators of vampires no less.

Still plugging away on the set of his new movie “Remember Me,” Robert Pattinson was spotted sporting some battle scars early this morning (July 7).

The “Twilight” stud looked a bit rough with his bloody face cut and black eye while on location in New York City, revealing the violent side of his new flick.

In related news, Robert recently told press that when it comes to on-screen kissing, he can’t seem to tone down his animalistic romantic side.

“I always get carried away when I’m kissing. I just go nuts! Walking away after it is the strangest moment for me. It’s embarrassing – not knowing what to say to each other.”

Getting intimate for the cameras once more, Robert Pattinson and Emilie de Ravin filmed a smooch scene for the movie “Remember Me” in Little Italy on Wednesday night (June 24).

After winning his leading lady a stuffed Panda at a local carnival, the two continued on into the night while shooting the romantic sequences.

As previously reported, the on-set hookup comes amidst rumors that Rattinson and de Ravin’s chemistry is dead on – leading to reports of tension between Rob and his “Twilight” co-star Kristen Stewart.

“They spent a lot of time telling jokes, laughing and whispering in each other’s ears. At one point Emilie took Robert’s Ray-Bans and was playfully wearing them before putting them back in his shirt pocket – it was very flirty. Rob was so sweet and attentive; if I didn’t know anything about him, I would think Emilie was his girlfriend!” a source tells of the new co-star’s connection.

As for Kristen, an insider alleges to OK! magazine,

“She knows screen kisses are part of Rob’s job, but it doesn’t make things easier, seeing sexy photos of him and Emilie in full lip-lock. Kristen saw a photo of them kissing and flipped out. It’s made her nervous and more determined to visit him in New York… It’s clear Rob and Emilie have a lot of movie chemistry.”

Unrelated to Robert Pattinson Michael Jackson, the self-anointed “King of Pop” who revolutionized music but whose legacy was marred by allegations of child molestation and bizarre behavior, died after suffering cardiac arrest Thursday. He was 50 years old.
The Los Angeles Fire Department was called to Jackson’s residence at 12:26 p.m. P.T., according to the Los Angeles Times. Paramedics performed CPR on Jackson, who was not breathing when they arrived at his home. He was rushed to LA Medical Center, just six miles from his home.

“For a long time he was unquestionably the most famous person on the planet,” Jed Hilly, the executive director of the Americana Music Assocation, told ABCNews.com.

Chris Connelly, an ABC News contributor, was one of the last people to interview Jackson, and said today that the pop star was “determined to convey that he had greater things ahead of him.”

“The word he spoke with the greatest emphasis was the ‘More!’ that he exclaimed when I asked if he could still do all his famous moves and hit all those notes at the age of 50,” said Connelly of his August 2008 phone interview with Jackson.

Connelly asked Jackson if he had received his AARP membership, a question that garnered a laugh from the star.

“In an all-too-short life that in so many ways was filled with enigmatic emotions, or troubling ones, his laugh sounded fresh, clear and altogether genuine,” said Connelly. “If only there had been more of those.”

RIP

“No joke. King of Pop is no more. Wow,” Michael Harris, 36, of New York City, read from a text message a friend sent to his telephone. “It’s like when Kennedy was assassinated. I will always remember being in Times Square when Michael Jackson died.”

Twilight star Robert Pattinson may be one of the most — if not the most — sought-after actor by both photographers and fans, but that doesn’t mean the 23-year-old hunk is going to hide out behind the gates of some walled-in compound. In fact, R-Patts loves hanging out with his friends — and he isn’t going to let stardom stop him.

Around 11:15pm on Wednesday night, Robert and a group of pals, including good friend, actor Tom Sturridge, his Twilight mom Elizabeth Reaser and actress Eva Mendes, were all enjoying themselves at NYC’s Bowery Bar, throwing back a few Peroni beers and nibbling on pizza between trips outside to enjoy an occasional smoke. These four were also joined by three others, a blonde woman and two guy friends.

Despite partying with the sexy Twilight star, one witness tells OK! that Eva appeared to have her eyes set on Sturridge. “They were chatting non-stop and laughing the whole time,” says the source.

Rob, dressed in a black hoodie and matching hat, got up from his table on the bar’s patio several times to take some phone calls. According to another partier, he spent a good deal of the night chatting with Elizabeth, who celebrates her 34th birthday on June 15.

One insider at the bar overheard Rob joking to the blonde woman in their group that having a British accent gets you points with American girls — yeah, because being the super-hot star of a wildly popular movie franchise doesn’t get you anywhere…

Just before 1am, it was time for Eva to make her exit. “She hugged and kissed everyone goodbye and left,” says one bargoer.

The rest of the group lingered for another 30 minutes, finally leaving around 1:30am.

“As they were walking out, the girls were joking that they’ll pretend to be Rob’s publicist if people were outside,” one insider tells OK!.

Lucky for him, there was only one photographer waiting outside, so he was able to slip into a cab by himself without having to fight off a throng of paparazzi.
